Personal
Details
Hello,
I'm Amanda Palmer and I have been an Ofsted-registered
childminder since July 2003. I am also a member of the
NCMA and an active member of the Little Acorns Childminders
support group. I live in Honeysuckle Close with my
husband Chris and my three boys Robert (14), Christopher
(12) and Ben (9). We also have two very friendly cats.
I am
within walking distance of Fynamore School and Sunny Days
Nursery.
I am
an Accredited Childminder and am also on the Childminding
Network. I am able to accept up to 15 hours per weeks
of nursery education funding.
Typical
Activities
The
whole of the downstairs of my house is dedicated to
childminding. Children are free to move from room to
room to access the large range of toys and activities I
provide. I have children from 3 months to 12 years and
provide a safe, secure and fun home-from-home environment.
All
children under five have their own learning journey which
shows how they are developing, what they are achieving,
photos of places we have been to, learning activities
through play and any pictures or paintings they have done,
so parents don't need to feel they are missing out on
any part of their child's day.
We
tend to go out in the mornings and be home in time for lunch
and a quiet afternoon before the school runs.
A
typical week will involve visiting soft-play centres, going
to playgroup, Little Acorns on a Friday, meeting up with
friends, going to the park, feeding the ducks etc., lots of
playing, singing, colouring, reading books and (most of all)
having fun!
All
children are individuals and, as a childminder, the welfare
and happiness of your child is paramount in my setting.
At the moment I have lots of brother and sisters in my care,
again helping to provide a family-like environment.
