Personal Details
Hello, I'm Kirsty Crowe
and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder living on the Lansdowne Park area of Calne with my husband,
Jonathan, son Jack who is 13 and our Springer Spaniel. Izzy.
I have been registered as a childminder since March 2009 and
I absolutely love my job. I am a member of the NCMA.
Typical Activities
Within my home I offer
a dedicated playroom and secure garden for the children to play
in. I complete a learning journey for all pre-school children
which includes photos of activities and my observations.
I also enclose a daily diary for all children under 3yrs old
and this goes home with them when they leave me at the end
of each day.
I can offer a range of activities
including arts & crafts, cookery, dressing up, music/dancing
and reading/story
time.
We visit a range of local groups,
including Dots to Tots and Little Acorns, I also network with
other childminders helping the children's social and
personal skills. We also go on visits to soft play, Lydiard Park, local
parks, Bowood House and Gardens.
I always ensure that children are able to learn and develop
in a safe environment that is fun.
During
school holidays, we go on trips to places such as Roves
Farm, Weston-Super-Mare and Bristol Zoo.
Training and Experience
• ICP (CACHE level 3 certificate
in Childminding Practices)
• First Aid in Early Years
• Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificates
• Child Protection
• Manual Handling in the Childcare Setting
• Positive Behaviour Management
• Full Clean driving Licence
• Thirteen years of bring up my own child.
Contractual Details
I am available to work from 7.30am
to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday but I am also flexible outside
these hours, to be negotiated with parents.
I take up to 4 weeks
holidays a year, 2 weeks that I choose and 2 weeks of your choice.
I work through the school holidays as well as on TD days but
not bank holidays.
My fees are in line with other
childminders in the local area and I offer a reduced rate for
siblings. Payment is due by the last day of each
month.
I offer school drop off/collection
to Derry Hill School and Fynamore School and can drop
off/collect from most local nurseries. Please
